For some reason I’ve decided that being a mom of 4, wife, working a job, taking care of a home, blogging with my hubby over at Marriage Life, and being a full time student wasn’t enough…
I wanna write about mommyhood.
It’s hard. It’s challenging. It’s frustrating. It’s comical. It’s crazy. It’s delicious.
The things my kids say. The way they make me laugh. The insane amount of times I hear myself saying, “Knock it off!”
The cleaning, the laundry, the dishes, the homework, the discipline.
And those are just the things that have to get done.
Then there’s playing board games, reading books together, going for bike rides, taking the dogs for walks together, teaching important lessons, cuddling on the couch, relaxing on the porch swing, going out for icecream…
Truthfully, those things are all on my have to list as well. Maybe yours too.
Which is why this thing called parenting is so monumental. Because it isn’t just about the tasks, the chores, and the have-to’s. It’s also about the little things inbetween.
So, my goal here is to write about the things that are important to me and my family. To utilize this space as a sort of virtual journal, and to create a space that allows others to join in and share.
Because this monumental thing called parenting is best done in community.
